Rufous-capped Warbler

Rufous-capped Warbler: Small warbler with olive-green upperparts, bright yellow throat and upper breast, and white belly. Head has rufous crown and cheek patch, white eyebrow, and black eyestripe. Bill is black and the tail is long and olive-gray. It likes to hide in dense undergrowth.

● Song: "chip-chip-chip", "tik"

● Foraging & Feeding: Rufous-capped Warbler: Eats insects and spiders; forages on the ground and in dense brush.

● Breeding & nesting: Rufous-capped Warbler: Two to four white eggs with red brown flecks and spotches are laid in a domed nest made of grass and plant fibers, lined with finer materials, and built on the side of a steep bank, rock, or log. Incubation ranges from 12 to 14 days and is carried out by both parents.
